Artist and Comic Book Designer Khikhus Attacked in Moscow by Fascists

On July 11, 2008, near the Taganskaya metro station in Moscow, artist and comic book designer Хихус (Khikhus) was attacked by a fascist. The reason for the attack was most likely Khikhus' appearance (dreadlocks).

According to the victim, a man of around thirty years of age caught up with him several times, staring at his eyes and clothes. The man was :dressed as a low-standing manager ...white jacket, a bag for the laptop computer, black office pants, and boots bought in the open-air market;. Armed with a pair of brass-knuckles, the man stopped the artist and calmly told him :We are fascists. We will kill you.; The attacker grabbed Khikhus with his right hand and hit him with the brass-knuckles in the temple several times. The artist began to shout and fight off the attacker. Not expecting such a reaction, the attacker quickly disappeared from the scene. The passers-by who witnessed the attack helped Khikhus back on his feet.

Khikhus admitted himself to the Sklifosovsky Institute, where he acquired three stitches.

The artist left a statement with the Police Station of the Taganka District. He maintains that several surveillance cameras were installed on the street on which the crime happened, and thus hopes that the identity of the attacker will be revealed.
