This Duma deputy wants to ban foreign films in Russia

Yegor Anisimov, a right-wing Duma deputy, has introduced the latest absurd legislation to combat foreign imports: a ban on all films made in countries that have levied sanctions against Russia. The chances of passing Anisimov’s bill are slim, given Russians’ overwhelming preference for foreign movies over domestic films.
