Russia's Defense Ministry seems to have invented a story about Yulia Tymoshenko sexually harassing Arseniy Yatsenyuk
Radio France Internationale has accused the Russian television station Zvezda of running a false report supposedly based on RFI source material. Zvezda, which is operated by the Russian Ministry of Defense, recently claimed that Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk is accusing former Prime Minister and current Batkivshchyna party leader Yulia Tymoshenko of sexual harassment.
Zvezda says Yatsenyuk complained of Tymoshenko's "constant sexual overtures" during an interview with RFI, when asked about his relationships with the leaders of the parliament's different factions. RFI says it never asked Yatsenyuk such a question.
"The Russian edition of RFI cautions anyone who might have accidentally read the 'news' from the TV station Zvezda: both the 'facts' it presented are entirely invented," the radio station said in a statement.
The identity of the person at Zvezda who posted the news about this “sexual harassment” so far remains a military secret.
