They're burning the Turkish President in effigy in Crimea

Outside Simferopol's Council of Ministers building in Crimea, demonstrators have burned an effigy of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The effigy was made of straw, with a photograph of Erdoğan tied to the head.

In Simferopol today, they burned Erdoğan in effigy. A photo has been published.
  • On November 25, a day after the Turkish Air Force shot down a Russian Su-24 aircraft near the Syrian border, demonstrators in Moscow pelted the Turkish embassy with rocks and eggs, breaking at least one window. A day later, a similar incident occurred at the Turkish embassy in Novorossiysk, where protesters also burned the Turkish flag.
  • Ankara has demanded that Russia ensure the safety of its diplomatic missions. In response to the demonstrations at Turkey's embassies, Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs as summoned the Russian ambassador in Ankara.
