For playing tunes outside Red Square, a street musician is fined 10,000 rubles
A Moscow court has fined a Sergei Vyatkin 10,000 rubles ($132) under regulations adopted in 2012 that were designed to police public assemblies.
The man's crime was performing music near the entrance to a mall outside Red Square. Vyatkin says he sat on the stairs outside the shopping center and no more than two people ever walked past him at one time.
