As deputy mayor gives TV interview praising downtown improvements, pedestrians slip and tumble in the background
Sergei Dyachkov, the deputy mayor of Lytkarino, a city located just outside Moscow, recently granted an interview to a local television station.
In the interview, Dyachkov described all the improvements his government has made to the Alley of Military Glory, Lytkarino's downtown public square. While Dyachkov spoke, just over his left shoulder and in frame of the camera, at least four people slipped on what appears to be an icy and unsafe sidewalk passing by an artillery monument. As this happened, Dyachkov extolled how the city has improved “walkways, lighting, trash bins, benches,” and more, so that locals can enjoy public spaces more “comfortably.”
The deputy mayor appears to have been entirely unaware of the display unfolding behind him, as he spoke.
