Russian Consulate under fire in Aleppo

Russia's consulate in Aleppo, Syria, came under mortar attack today.

No one was injured as a result of the shelling.

All official Russian consulate employees were evacuated back in 2013. The consulate is now run and maintained by Syrian government staff.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the consulate was shelled by Al-Nusra Front militants.
