Yekaterinburg athlete reportedly beats his father to death for trying on his new coat
An amateur athlete in Yekaterinburg is being charged with beating his father to death when the latter tried on his new coat, according to a statement by Sverdlovsk officials.
An investigation into the incident has revealed that the athlete, having received his salary, bought himself a new coat and shoes, which he left at home before departing for his table tennis training session. The man returned home inebriated and passed out before long. When he woke up, he discovered that his father had donned the coat without asking his permission. Then the athlete beat his father to death in a fit of rage.
Local investigators have concluded that the relationship between the father and son was previously characterized by “mutual understanding,” as well.
