Pro-Kremlin ‘Antimaidan’ movement wants Russia's leading independent TV station investigated on an ISIL technicality
The pro-Kremlin movement “Antimaidan” has asked the country's attorney general to investigate the independent television station Dozhd for extremist crimes. The group says at least 32 articles published on Dozhd's website contain references to the Islamic State without the mandatory warning to readers that ISIL is outlawed in Russia.
Antimaidan's letter to the attorney general says it is accompanied by another document with a list of all the Dozhd articles in question, but the attachment was not published online with the letter.
