Another Russian Olympian tests positive for doping in South Korea

Move over Alexander Krushelnitckii, you’re not the only Russian Olympian caught doping in South Korea. Bobsledder Nadezhda Sergeeva reportedly tested positive for a banned substance on February 18, though Alexander Zubkov, the president of Russia’s Bobsledding and Skeleton Federation, hasn't said what drug exactly was found in Sergeeva’s urine. According to the website Sport-Express, it was some kind of heart-related drug. Whatever it was, it didn’t help: Sergeeva finished twelfth.

Earlier this week, Olympic officials found meldonium in two urine samples from Russian curler Alexander Krushelnitckii, who won bronze in this year’s mixed doubles competition in South Korea. He denies cheating and says he suspects someone slipped the drug into one of his drinks while he was training in Japan.
