Bulgaria close airspace for Lavrov’s plane, his visit to Serbia doubtful
Bulgaria has closed its airspace for the jet of Sergei Lavrov, Russia’s Foreign Minister who was scheduled to arrive in Serbia on 6 June, says Eleonora Mitrofanova, Russia’s ambassador to Bulgaria.
Serbia’s Novosti reported that Bulgaria, Montenegro and North Macedonia all closed their airspaces for Lavrov’s jet earlier today.

Novosti has published a scan of the respective document signed by the Montenegrin authorities.
“I confirm that Bulgaria has disallowed Sergei Lavrov’s jet headed for Serbia to travel through its airspace,” Mitrofanova said.
Ana Brnabić, Serbia’s PM, says Aleksandar Vučić, the country’s president, had to “manage logistics for Sergei Lavrov all by himself.”
Russia’s Foreign Ministry has yet to comment on the matter.
Sergei Lavrov said earlier that “the West had declared total hybrid war on Russia, aiming their cancel culture at everything Russian.”
