Governor: Russia attacks Sievierodonetsk industrial area, attempts to enter Lysychansk

The Russian army has attacked the Sievierodonetsk industrial area and attempted to enter Lysychansk from the south in order to block the town, Serhiy Haidai, the Luhansk governor, says.

Russia executed an air strike upon Lysychansk yesterday, at least one man was killed. Sievierodonetsk was shelled yesterday, just like the settlements of Synetskyi, Pavlohrad, Vovchoiarivka, Belohorivka and Loskutivka, as well as the Azot and Stekloplastik factories.

Moreover, the Russian army is executing an offensive on the settlements of Metiolkine, Syrotyne and Voronove, Haidai says. Metiolkine was reported captured by Chechnya’s Ramzan Kadyrov on 18 May, Haidai confirmed this two days later.

It is impossible to quickly check the official data on the victims during warfare.

Russia surrounded Horske in the Luhansk region and blocked the Ukrainian troops in the area yesterday. The so-called “LPR militia” claimed capturing the town of Zolote as well.
