One woman killed in shelling of Ukraine’s Orikhiv

A local woman was killed in the shelling of Orekhiv, a city in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, by Russian troops, regional governor Oleksandr Starukh said on his Telegram channel.

Six local residents were injured in the shelling, including three power company workers that were fixing the power lines. According to Starukh, the attacks from multiple rocket launchers lasted several hours.

He added that dozens of residential buildings and civil infrastructure objects had been damaged in the shelling. The attacks also led to several fires that were contained by emergency workers.

Last night, five out of nine districts of Ukraine’s Kharkiv also came under attack, city mayor Ihor Terekhov reported. He added that there had not been attacks of this scale on the city “for a long time”.
