Conflict Intelligence Team shares video featuring heavy military equipment echelon heading to Crimea
Volunteers of the Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT), an independent investigative organisation originating from Russia, have shared a video and a photo of Russian military equipment being transported from the Nizhny Novgorod region to the Rostov region by rail.
A Buk missile system is visible in the video, according to CIT, while the photo features tanks T-80BV and T-90M.
The analysts checked the Russian Railway company database and noticed that both trains had departed from the village Mulino to the Rostov region railway stop Neklinovka. The trains departed on 22 and 24 August respectively.
CIT notes that transportation of the Buk missile systems demonstrates deployment of large forces. The analysts speculate that, in this case, the 3rd Army Corps, newly formed in Mulino, could be getting transported. The news about the formation of the 3rd Army Corps in Mulino was first reported by Ukraine’s intelligence.
The video featuring military equipment at the railway station Taman, located near the entrance to the Crimean Bridge, was also shared by outlet Krym.Realii. The outlet reports, citing its readers, that there are engineering and sapper vehicles, howitzers, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, and trucks on the railway platforms.
On 18 August, local residents reported hearing sounds of explosions in Kerch and near the military airfield Belbek in Sevastopol.
On 9 August, explosions occurred at the Crimea military airfield Saky in Novofedorivka, 12 miles away from the city of Yevpatoriya. According to the Russian authorities, 13 people were injured, two children among them, and one person was killed.
