Ukraine says its armed forces liberated major railway interchange in Kharkiv region

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have liberated the settlement of Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi on the left bank of the Oskil River, Kharkiv regional governor Oleg Synegubov stated.

“They [the Russians] had several main directions that were rather important to them: Izium, the so-called Izium heights — a path that they used to deliver their military equipment to the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions to strengthen their military presence there; and, of course, Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi, one of the largest logistics points and railway interchanges on the territory of the Kharkiv region,” he said.

According to Synegubov, currently, 6% of the Kharkiv region remain under Russian occupation. He noted that it is “rather hard” to liberate every metre of Ukraine’s territory, as “the enemy does not retreat, they constantly try to regroup and pull in their reserves”.

It is impossible to promptly verify the information provided by the warring sides during an ongoing conflict.
