Ukraine liberates 7 more settlements in Luhansk region
Ukraine’s Armed Forces have liberated seven more settlements in the Luhansk region, Serhiy Haidai, the local governor, reports.
The settlements in question are Novolyubivka, Nevske, Grekivka, Novoyegorivka, Nadiya, Andriivka, and Stelmakhivka. Those settlements are now fully controlled by Ukraine.
A total of 40 settlements have been re-captured by Ukraine as of 9 October, the country’s Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories reports. “We’re receiving a lot of humanitarian aid from local authorities, UNICEF, the Red Cross Society of Ukraine. The aid in question is mainly groceries, hygiene items, and heating devices. In addition, one-time payouts are being paid from the Red Cross Society of Ukraine. In the last 3 days, this humanitarian organisation paid more than UAH 700,000 to local residents,” reads the agency’s statement.
Ukraine liberated Lyman, a city in the Donetsk region, on 1 October.
