Poland convenes Security Council meeting, scrambles fighter jets amid reports of missile explosions on Ukrainian border

Polish Radio ZET reported the explosions in the village of Przewodów in the Lublin Voivodeship near the border with Ukraine. According to these reports, two people were killed.

The Polish prime minister urged the media not to replicate unverified information and said that the meeting would be held on the “Ukrainian crisis.” Morawiecki gave no other details.

Radio Lublin reports another version. The incident in Przewodów occurred around 3:40 p.m. at the transfer scales at an agricultural facility, where tractors with cargo are usually weighed. This information was confirmed by the local police. According to preliminary conclusions, the tractor, which drove into the scales, suddenly exploded. Radio Lublin also reports the death of two people.

The Polish Air Force has scrambled fighter planes from Tomaszów Lubelski airfield. The army and prosecutor's office has arrived at the site of the incident in Przewodów, reports Visegrad.
