Stoker in Russia’s Vologda, 61, faces 6 years in prison for posts about killed civilians in Ukraine
The Vologda prosecution has asked the court to send stoker Vladimir Rumyantsev, 61, to 6 years in prison in a case of spreading deliberately false information about the actions of the Russian armed forces, OVD-Info reports, citing lawyer Sergey Tikhonov.
The sentence will be delivered on 22 December.
The prosecution claims that Rumyantsev was spreading information about the war through a radio post in his flat. The criminal case was launched after his social media posts about Ukrainian civilians killed in the war.
Rumyantsev was detained in July and pleads not guilty.
