Moscow police officer suspected of raping and torturing 20-year-old woman

A Moscow police officer and his friend are suspected of raping and torturing a 20-year-old woman, as per Telegram channel Baza and Moscow’s Ministry of Internal Affairs Department.

According to the Telegram channel, a 21-year-old police sergeant and his 20-year-old friend met with the woman to get drinks together. While affected by alcohol, they got into a fight, after which the police officer took a mop head and started raping the woman with it, Baza claims. The second man began to beat the victim. It is reported that the woman was also tortured with a steam generator.

The victim managed to escape and call an ambulance, the Telegram channel writes. According to Baza, she has ruptures in her spleen and genitals.

Moscow’s Ministry of Internal Affairs Department reports that a relative of the victim filed a police report. “During an inspection, it was established that the two men had caused injuries to the woman, following which she was hospitalised,” the statement reads.

However, the agency claims that the police officer was the one to take the woman to a hospital. The suspects were detained. The police officer was also fired, the department says.
