Сhief designer of Soyuz military plant and his family revealed as owners of UK mansion and EU-based firm, reports Navalny LIVE
Anna Okroyan, the daughter of Mkrtich Okroyan, the chief designer of Russia’s Soyuz military plant, has been revealed as the owner of a mansion in the UK by associates of jailed Russian opposition activist Alexei Navalny.
Okroyan’s father’s factory has developed engines for the Kh-22 anti-ship missiles. Soyuz-designed engines can also be installed in the Kh-59 and Kalibr cruise missiles, which Russian forces have been using since the first day of the invasion of Ukraine, reported Navalny LIVE.
“The mansion was bought in 2020 for almost six million pounds, or half a billion roubles. Its only owner is Anna Mkrtichevna Okroyan,” the investigation said. Navalny's associates pointed out that neither Soyuz nor Okroyan have yet been sanctioned.
