Large-scale drone attack hits buildings in Moscow, causing “minor damage” and no casualties, mayor says

Close to 25 drones were involved in a morning attack on Moscow and the Moscow region, according to a report by Telegram channel Baza. The channel's sources said most of them were shot down by air defenses in the Moscow suburbs, with some getting stuck on trees and wires as they flew by at low altitude. According to the Telegram channel Shot, over 30 drones were involved in the attack.

At least three drones crashed into residential buildings, with one of them carrying explosive devices which did not detonate.

The emergency services told RIA Novosti that in Moscow one UAV hit a house on Profsoyuznaya Street, 98, and another hit a 24-story apartment building on Atlasova Street in Novaya Moskva [“New Moscow”]. In Profsoyuznaya Street, the drone crashed into the upper floors of a building, the facade and windows were destroyed, residents of three blocks are evacuated. On Atlasova Street, the facade and the glazing of the upper floors of the building were also destroyed [as a result of a drone strike]. Also, a drone flew into house 92, building 1 on Leninsky Avenue.
