Unknown individuals paint Belarusian embassy in The Hague with graffitis
The embassy of Belarus was attacked in The Hague, as per Dutch RTL Nieuws. The building had its windows broken, and was painted with multiple graffitis.
A man, 31, was arrested. The writings on the embassy’s walls read “Long Live Belarus” and “Luka [Lukashenka] is a terrorist”.
Dutch MP Sjoerd Sjoerdsma commented on the graffiti via a tweet. “No matter how rightly angry you are at the regime of Belarus, Russia or other countries, do not attack their embassies or residences. You will not help anyone and put our diplomats in those countries in danger.”
The mutiny started by Russian mercenary group PMC Wagner on 23 June (or as the group’s leader Yevgeny Prigozhin puts it, a “march of justice”) ended the following day. Alyaksandar Lukashenka is said to have made his influence. He confirmed on 27 June that Prigozhin had arrived in Belarus.
“I granted the guarantees of safety promised by Putin. Prigozhin is indeed in Belarus today. As I promised, they can stay here for some time, at their own expense, of course,” Lukashenka said.
He also mentioned that despite most of the nuclear weapons Russia had promised to deploy in Belarus had arrived in the country, PMC Wagner would not be guarding it.
